I'd be interested to know if you feel as strongly against capital punishment. A life is a life, innocent or not. That's what Jesus believed.

@Sam, you're right to say life is important to Jesus, no matter what. But the Bible is the product of the mind of God. So Jesus was approving of the comments Paul made in Romans 13 concerning the role of government to wield a "sword" in civil matters.

The execution of a violent criminal is a matter of civil justice. The survival of the unborn is a matter of civil rights. Resorting to the capital punishment issue is really a distraction from all of the absurdities concerning abortion.

You say with certainty, "that's what Jesus believed." But doesn't Jesus believe in 100% of His own word?
